Diploma in Information Technology (DIT)

The programme name is Diploma in Information Technology. The duration is two academic years which are broken down into four semesters. The duration of a semester is seventeen (17) weeks, fifteen weeks for teaching and two weeks for examinations

The general objective of this programme is to apply Information Technology in solving business problems and providing value to business people

Program rationale

The disruptive nature of Information and Communication Technologies and their influence on business processes has led to a necessity for all businesses to adopt and apply information technology in their processes. Information systems are the leading engines of business process engineering, earned value management and digitization of processes is now paramount in the transformation of the economy. The diploma in Information Technology has been introduced to summarize the integration of information technology in business transactions. Learners will be introduced to the technologies that are running businesses now.
